Massimiliano Borbone, head of the Women's Department of Catania Football Club, announces the news regarding Catania Women ahead of the start of the 2024/2025 sports season, which will see the team in Serie C for the second consecutive year: "With the aim of strengthening the structure, according to a continuous development model outlined by the ownership and management of the club, we have proposed to Peppe Scuto to take on the responsibility of the technical area of our department, thus enhancing his knowledge of the territory and women's football. We are pleased to welcome Pierpaolo Alderisi, who will be the coach of our team: he has a significant experience in youth sectors with excellent results, has excelled in guiding the regional team, and has also had a spell in a men's first team; we are convinced that he will also do an excellent job in this new football adventure".
Coach Alderisi adds: "I am truly happy and did not hesitate for a single moment: when Catania calls, immediately my heart responds with the most convinced and enthusiastic yes. Beyond the reasons of the heart, I am aware of the importance of this opportunity in light of the value of this club. I thank director Borbone, vice president Grella, and president Pelligra for their trust, I will give more than my best for the girls and for the club. It will be an advantage for me to be able to rely on the directions and support of Peppe Scuto". The latter observes: "The harmony with the club and with director Borbone led us to imagine the same path for the future, even before we met to plan this season. It is exactly the role I desired, considering my coaching experience concluded, to continue to work for our Catania and for the growth of the girls.
