Catania Football Club announces that it has acquired the right to the sports performance of the footballer Cosimo Chiricò, born in Mesagne (Brindisi) on 5 October 1991.
In 2022/23, in Serie C, the full-back stood out well in Crotone, adding 14 goals (a personal best in the space of a season) and 12 assists.
Chiricò boasts four promotions to B, an effect of the successes in all groups of the third series championship: in 2019/20 he was among the protagonists of Monza's primacy in group A; in 2016/17, the first place in group C with Foggia; in 2014/15, he prevailed with Ascoli in group B; in 2011/12, through the playoffs, the feat with Virtus Lanciano.
The Apulian athlete's palmarès also includes three trophies: the Coppa Italia Lega Pro 2015/16 and the Supercoppa Lega Pro 2016/17, both won with Foggia, are joined by the Coppa Italia Serie C 2021/22, won with Padova.
Growing up in Lecce's youth sector, Chiricò also wore the shirts of the Salento club, Cesena, Prato and Latina between B and C; in D, the beginnings with Vigor Lamezia and Casarano.
To his credit, overall, 383 appearances, 80 goals and 59 assists in official professional competitions.
