Catania Football Club announces that it has acquired the sporting rights of Luca Alessandro Mihai, who has signed a two-year contract with the club until 30 June 2028.
Born in Bucharest on 11 October 2003, he made his debut for Romania Under-21s in 2023 in a UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying match, completing a journey through the national youth teams that began at Under-15 level.
He moved to Italy in 2017 after spending time in Germany in the youth academies of Karlsruhe and Walldorf. The midfielder then continued his development with the Primavera teams of Chievo, Bologna and SPAL.
After making his professional debut with Trento in the 2022/23 season and a spell with AlbinoLeffe, he returned to Romania, where he played in the top flight for Cluj, Politehnica Iași, Buzău and UTA Arad.
